Singapore Foreign Minister to Begin Official Visit Next Week

Phnom Penh: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, will lead a delegation to pay an official visit and to attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Retreat (AMM Retreat) in the Kingdom of Cambodia from 15 to 17 February 2022.

According to a press release issued on February 13, 2022 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia and hold a formal meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn to discuss on bilateral relations and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, education, and health, as well as regional and international issues of common interest and concern. He will also have separate meetings with the Minister of Economy and Finance, Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Minister of Environment, Say Samal, and Chairman of the Commission on Education, Youths, Sports, Religious Affairs, Culture and Tourism, Hun Many.

The official visit of Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan to Cambodia will further strengthen and deepen the close relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Singapore for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
